OZ Report 6.0, a web based reporting software developed by FORCS

SEOUL, KOREA - FORCS (an acronym for FOR Client's Success), a Korean-based e-business solution developer, has opened up new markets for its web-based reporting solutions. FORCS, which has managed to do business for 17 years despite unfavorable circumstances, broke the KRW 10 billion mark in annual sales in 2011. However, such a remarkable achievement did not come easily. In 2001, FORCS reached this remarkable sales total thanks to the synergetic effects between the distribution of foreign-made software and FORCS-branded solutions. Since that time, however, FORCS has been on a roller coast as its sales figures have continued to seesaw sharply.

FORCS once merged with a solar power company and then demerged in order to focus its undivided attention back to the software solution business. After the demerging, FORCS has zeroed in on the software solutions industry, which has subsequently resulted in rapidly increasing its sales numbers last year. FORCS made an incredible comeback as an up and coming software developer who raked in over KRW 10 billion by selling one of its independently-developed software solutions. Aiming to expanding strongly into the Southeast Asian market, expansionist-minded FORCS will display its web based enterprise reporting solution “OZ Report™” at the upcoming CommunicAsia 2012 (Asia’s largest Communications and Information Technology exhibition), scheduled to take place in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, 19 - 22 June 2012.

FORCS’s Flagship Product “OZ Report”

OZ Report (a web based enterprise reporting solution) is the highest-grossing product manufactured by FORCS, which leads the corporate reporting solution market by preemptively responding to the fast-changing IT environment characterized by smart work, open banking and big data. OZ Report was designed to provide easy-to-use design tools for report creation and modification, as well as hassle-free deployment and maintenance. Data stored in a company’s database can be utilized to produce a variety of business documents such as charts, financial statements and invoices. In addition, OZ Report enhances the efficiency of corporate business processes by creating linkages with companies’ key work systems, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), e-HR (electronic human resources), EIS (Executive Information System) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

In tandem with evolving IT trends, OZ Report creates a smart reporting environment, optimized for the corporate customer’s business, via a user-oriented customized development environment. This environment supports the handling of both formatted and unformatted data, cross platforms and mobile reporting. OZ Report provides a number of viewers, offering access to different types of files on various cross platforms and browsers. On top of this, since OZ Report supports mobile reporting, stored reports can be viewed on a mobile phone without additional devices.

Backed by its advanced technology, the market-proven OZ Report has been used at nearly 1,000 public institutions including the Supreme Court of Korea, National Tax Service, the public administration information sharing system, run by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security of Korea. On top of this, OZ Report’s sustainable operational environment has been recognized by a slew of large Korean conglomerates such as LG Electronics, Samsung Electro Mechanics Co., Doosan Infracore, KB Kookmin Bank and Korea Life Insurance, which have placed their trust in OZ Report as their standardized reporting tool.

OZ Report 6.0, an upgraded version of OZ Report, is a reporting solution for smart businesses that comes with improved mobile reporting and reinforced viewer functions: upgraded viewer functions include QR barcode components, a scroll fixing function, PDA/A formats, the reduction of file size, Plug-in, applets, Flash, HTML5 and Microsoft Silverlight. All of these functions are aimed to offer an optimal and user-friendly reporting environment that ensures data interoperability on a variety of operating systems (OS) and browsers.

Also, the ribbon toolbar (an interface where a set of toolbars are placed on tabs in a tab bar) was added to ensure the provision of a convenient interface. Convenience is also improved development-wise: contents from Microsoft Word, Hangul, and Excel documents can be copied and pasted as the multi-language reporting function was upgraded along with support for SAP NetWeaver components. FORCS’s strenuous endeavors for technological advancement and overall product perfection resulted in OZ Report receiving the Good Software (GS) mark from Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA), the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) certification and the Software Process (SP) certification from National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA). There are other FORCS products related to OZ Report: OZ Reporting App, OZ EQ, and OZ e-From.

FORCS Set Its Sights on Unformatted Data Reporting, Mobile Reporting Markets

This year, FORCS plans to concentrate its efforts on the unformatted data reporting and mobile reporting markets. FORCS will ramp up its marketing activities for OZ EQ in the unformatted data reporting market. OZ EQ is an unformatted data analysis solution that allows easy analyses of unformatted data and the subsequent development of reports. Various data stored in different databases can be searched, extracted and analyzed in order for OZ EQ users to develop dashboards and report for themselves. OZ EQ, released in 2007, has been utilized by large organizations like the Ministry of National Defense of Korea, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), KB Kookmin Bank and Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance. In the mobile reporting market, FORCS looks to intensively market its reporting app “OZ Report,” which can run on smartphones, tablet PCs, not to mention personal computers, and was developed for iOS and android devices. Thanks to OZ Report, users can view files on their mobile phones with ease. FORCS is set to take the smart work environment to new heights as a result of this extensive application.

e-Document Development Solution “OZ e-Form”

Armed with the e-document development solution “OZ e-Form,” FORCS is also poised to seize the online e-document market. OZ e-Form, a simplified version of OZ Report, is a tool designed to set up a paperless smart working environment: it supports the conversion of paper documents into electronic forms, document searching and printing. The biggest strength of OZ e-Form is that it can connect to OZ Report which has previously been installed in approximately 2,000 organizations. The simple addition of input components and relevant scripts to OZ Report files will lead to the creation of e-documents. Such features set OZ e-Form apart from its rivals. Another feature of OZ e-Form is that it is based on templates rather than PDF, so the initial download time is slashed to a great degree and input data and document data can be shared when data is delivered in XML format.

Oz e-Form is currently used by LIG Insurance Co. FORCS forecasts that five more corporate entities are poised to install Oz e-Form by the end of this year. Oz e-Form was specifically developed to meet demands from insurance companies and financial institutions. Now, LIG Insurance Co. is running a paperless contract system in which auto insurance policies can be signed electronically via tablet PCs. As a result, LIG Insurance Co sales representatives can electronically produce the estimates of insurance bills based on their companies’ subscription system and swiftly seal a deal by obtaining electronic signatures. FORCS plans to develop more products that work in sync with the widely-used OZ Report to establish a firm foothold in the reporting market.

FORCS Is Eyeing the Southeast Asian Market for Business Expansion

FORCS, which is engaged in overseas business projects with Japanese partners, is now planning to vigorously make inroads into the Southeast Asian market. FORCS entered the Japanese market in 2004 and signed over 100 contracts. As of now, as FORCS boasts over 80 Japanese corporate customers, about 4% of its total sales are a result of exports to Japan. Expanding beyond Japan, FORCS’s solutions are also used by BCC Bank (the fifth largest bank in Kazakhstan) and HawTai Automobile Co. in China. In a move to highlight its plan to enter the Southeast Asian market, FORCS last year paired up with an IT company, which is now charged with doing business in the Southeast Asian market including Singapore and Vietnam. As for Singapore, FORCS is on track to ink a bundled software contract with a supplier of business software packages. Once the contract is signed, FORCS’s overseas sales are expected to rapidly increase.
