CHEONGWON, KOREA - Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare, KOHI (President; Lee Sangyong) successfully concludedwith KOICA. 13 health officials and professionals from Pakistan participated in the course from 13th, May to 2nd, June in 2012.
The course was designed to review successful Korean health policies and projects. Trainees also analyzed specific issues of reproductive health and drew solutions and action plans through a series of workshops. Lectures from Korea CDC, medical schools, and Embassy of Pakistan helped the trainees learn and understand the programs throughout the course. The trainees also visited Soonchunhyang Gumi Hospital, Korea Association for Health Promotion, and Planned Population Federation in Korea to see and learn Korea's health system.
Nisar Ahmed, Duty Secretary of Health Department, Government of Balochistan said “Staff, tour, program and environment, all thing I experienced here is wonderful. The details of the training course is well-organized and practical.” He also expressed his gratitude KOHI and KOICA for the opportunity.
KOHI has been running various programs, including Health Policy and Program Management, Maternal and Child Health Promotion, and Community Healthcare Development to contribute to improvement of the world's health.
