SEOUL, KOREA — On July 18, Samsung Electronics, the world's top smartphone maker, opened "Samsung Space Fest" at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, New York.
"Samsung Space Fest", hosted and led by the largest IT company, celebrates the Enterprise's arrival at the museum. The first space shuttle completed in the 1970s is set to open to the public starting July 19.
Until 22, a complex set of air and space-themed events are ready to attract people. Samsung Electronics also prepares an area where over 60,000 visitors can experience a space simulation as well as innovative products for Smart TV and its contents.
With Smart TV "Angry Bird" game that recognizes human movements, Samsung Electronics plans to unveil 75 inch ES9000 Smart TV, and run "Samsung Smart TV Space Shuttle" experience zone.
At the zone, via Samsung's Premium Smart TV, people can engage in interactive services between its Smart TV and other devices; there are an internet radio service app "Pandora", "Angry Bird" game, Space Shuttle 3D Video, and etc.
"Angry Bird" gamer can directly play a character with their hand movements by utilizing Smart TV's gesture recognition function. Its mobile-version is widely popular.
Anyone with ES7000/8000/9000 series models can download "Angry Bird" at TV App Store's "Samsung Apps TV".
Samsung Electronics wants to capitalize on an opportunity to introduce its premium strategic product, 75 inch Smart TV ES9000, and lead the large-screen Smart TV market late this year.
