Juniper Networks announced on December 19, 2005 that KCC Information & Communication and Dacom have deployed the company's NetScreen security appliances to protect the infrastructure of LS Cable, a Korean cable manufacturing conglomerate.
The company said that Jupiter Networks NetScreen-500, NetScreen-200 and NetScreen-5GT appliances are deployed to ensure LS Cable's infrastructure is completely protected from a wide variety of internal and external network-based threats.
The security solutions, which were deployed ahead of LS Cable's use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to increase its business productivity, are set to provide combined firewall/VPN capability and essential security functions, such as Stateful Inspection firewall with Deep Inspection technology for application-level protection, and denial of service (DoS) mitigation functions. Juniper Networks said that these solutions will also ensure business continuity through a bypass VPN connection in case of a network outage.
In the meantime, KCC Information & Communication and Dacom plan to deploy additional Juniper Networks security appliances to LS Cable's eight manufacturing sites nationwide.
