SEOUL, KOREA — AUTODESK inc., a World’s leading venture that specializes in 3D design & engineering and Entertainment software, has introduced new versions of Autodesk Scaleform user interface middleware for developing mobile games. The latest release offers an Adobe Flash-based gaming and application platform, including Unity game engine plug-in.
The Scaleform has been supportive to the development of User Interface that intensifies gamers’ nerves for over 1,000 Triple-A titles such as “Gears of War”, “Crysis 2” and “Desus Ex: Human Revolution”. With its affordable new version, developers who create iOS and Android platform games and applications can easily gain access to its powerful technology.
"These new versions of Scaleform were created to address growing interest from outside of the triple-A games market. Inspired by innovative use cases of the technology, we first expanded the middleware's mobile game toolsets and tutorials, and are now making Scaleform accessible to more developers,” said Marc Petit, Autodesk senior vice president for Media & Entertainment.
Empowered by Adobe Flash Toolset, Autodesk Scaleform offers trimmed workflows centering on artists, and developers can fast develop full 2D games and UI environments. There are three available methods that the new versions of Scaleform can offer: Unity Game Engine, Third-party and Mobile Engine, and Standalone Development Platform.
