Korea 3Com, one of the world's leading manufacturers of network equipment, announced on December 22, 2005, the launch of a security evaluation program the TippingPoint Security Posture Assessment (SPA).
The 'TippingPoint SPA' service is a network security evaluation service that provides preventive security tools by identifying network vulnerabilities and potential exposures to threats to network equipment, servers and workstation computers.
Korea 3Com said that the company's TippingPoint experts would run a variety of tests and assessment tasks, including network mapping, scanning, password cracking, and testing on worm attacks. Juniper Networks Displays 40Gbps Interface for Core Routers
Juniper Networks said last month that it had successfully demonstrated 40 Gbps transmissions by using the new OC- 768c/STM interface modules for its Tseries Internet core routers.
The company also said that the 40Gbps technology is the fastest interface speed available on the market where core backbones usually operate at 10Gbps today. Currently, more than 1,000 T-series routers are deployed worldwide to over 100 customers.
