SEOUL, KOREA – Kia Motors marked a healthy growth in domestic sales in November 2012 thanks to brisk sales of its new cars such as the K3 and K7.
Kia Motors announced on December 3 that it sold 258,157 units in and outside Korea in November 2012, up 6.4 percent from a year ago. The November figures include domestic sales of 44,400 units and overseas sales of 213,757.
Domestic sales grew by 13.8 percent year-on-year, while overseas sales rose by 5.0 percent year-on-year. By car type, the monthly sales of the K3, a compact sedan, passed the 7,000 mark for two straight months starting from October, while the sales of the New K7 grew by 182 percent to 3,148 compared to a month ago.
For the January-November period of this year, Kia Motors sold 2,499,417 units worldwide, including domestic sales of 435,546 and overseas sales of 2,063,871.
