SEOUL, KOREA – The venture capital firm that has sent the highest number of start-ups to the KOSDAQ market this year has been KTB Network. Meanwhile, the start-up firm that gave the highest return on investment to a venture capital firm has been Viatron Technologies.
According to Korea Exchange and Korea Venture Investment Corp. on December 5, the number of companies that has made initial public offerings on the KOSDAQ market this year to date has been 20.
Of these, those start-up companies that venture capital firms made investment before the IPO include Neuros, Vissem Electronics, Viatron, Digital Optic, Nable Communications, MCNex, Nanos, Modacom, and Koyj.
The venture capital firm with the best eye for successful start-ups was KTB Network, accounting for five companies out of nine IPO cases. In the case of Viatron, KTB Network invested 500 million won with more than 5 billion won in returns. For Nable Communications, it put in 1 billion won and got back 3 billion won.
