The North Face kept its No. 1 spot in the outdoor clothing market for ten straight years. According to the outdoor clothing and retail industry, The North Face achieved sales of 208.8 billion won at 69 department stores with outdoor clothing stores during the January-November period of this year. Since 2003, North Face has maintained its lead in terms of department store sales.
Following The North Face was Kolon Sports which marked 159.1-billion-won sales. Kolon Sports strengthened aggressive marketing this year, aimed at catching up with the frontrunner. K2 and Black Yak are vying for the No. 3 spot.
Each has achieved 90 billion won-level sales at department stores nationwide. Following them were Columbia and Lafuma which posted sales of 76.5 billion won and 58 billion won respectively.
