SEOUL, KOREA - GM Korea announced on January 28 that it has launched pre-order sales of its small SUV Trax that will be released next month. The Trax is mounted with a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine that boasts superior performance and higher fuel efficiency. This is the first time for a 1.4 liter-level SUV to be released in Korea.
GM Korea said, “Compared to a 2.0-liter diesel model, the Trax 1.4 creates the effect of saving automobile taxes of up to 270,000 won per year.”
The new model is equipped with a Chevrolet infotainment system “My Link” and a seven-speaker Boss audio system. My Link offers iPhone’s voice recognition feature through Bluetooth.
As part of its various promotional events, GM Korea selected Roy Kim and Jung Joon Young as its PR model. Kim and Jung were top contestants at the Korean audition program Superstar K4.
