SEOUL, KOREA - Caffe Bene, a Korean specialty coffee shop chain, announced on February 4 that its first overseas store in New York’s Time Square broke the 1-million mark in cumulative number of visitors. It took about a year for the Time Square location to reach the milestone.According to Caffe Bene’s in-house statistics, the Time Square store has attracted 2,700 visitors per day. The coffee franchiser said that not only Korean residents in New York, but young New Yorkers and tourists also visit the shop to enjoy a variety of espresso-based drinks.
The Time Square store offers a variety of popular menus, including Americano and brewed coffees. Over the past year, they were sold 591,000 cups. Also popular there is Misugaru Latte (a multigrain Korean drink) which was sold 370,000 cups.
