SEOUL, KOREA – Samjin LND has been recognized as one of the winners in the 2013 Next Generation Luminaires (NGL) Solid-State Lighting (SSL) Design Competition.
At LEDucation 7 in New York, the US Department of Energy (DOE), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) have jointly announced the results of the 2013 Next Generation Luminaires (NGL) Solid-State Lighting (SSL) Design Competition for indoor products.
Samjin LND’s two entries were anointed with Recognized status, which is generally equated to NGL award winner by the lighting companies that participate in the program.
Its winning entries are a half moon-shaped lamp (2400㎜ in height) and an edge-type, flat panel color and brightness adjustable LED lamp.
The CEO of Samjin LND said,” We have developed eco-friendly products with a focus on emotional design in collaboration with an American marketing firm in order to target the hard-to-enter US market. Since our products have been recognized by the US’s top LED lighting authority as winners in the 2013 Next Generation Luminaires (NGL) Solid-State Lighting (SSL) Design Competition, our product credibility has been officially proven.”
Under the brand name of “PureLED,” the winners will be supplied to large-scale projects.

삼진엘앤디, 미래조명 경진대회 우수 제품 수상
삼진엘앤디(대표 이경재)가 자체 개발한 LED실내 조명 제품이 미국에서 우수 제품으로 선정됐다.
미국에서 열린 `LEDucation7`(라이팅 페어) 행사에서 2013년 북미 미래조명경연대회 실내조명 부문 우수제품으로 뽑혔다.
삼진엘앤디가 수상한 두 제품은 독창적 디자인의 등기구 일체형 제품인 길이 2400㎜ 반달형 조명등과 색상과 조도 조절 기능을 갖춘 에지(Edge)형 평판 조명제품 2종이다.
이경재 대표는 “진입 장벽이 높은 미주시장을 공략하고자 미국 마케팅 업체와 협력해 친환경, 감성디자인 제품을 개발했다”며 “조명 부문 미주 지역 최고 권위 단체로부터 품질을 공인받아 회사와 제품 신뢰성을 인정받게 됐다”고 말했다.
수상제품은 미국 유수의 조명등 기구업체 등에서 `푸어LED(PureLED)`라는 브랜드로 대형 프로젝트에 공급될 계획이라고 덧붙였다.
삼진엘앤디는 오는 4월 판매에 적극 나설 것이라며 올해 미주 시장에서만 2000만달러 이상의 매출을 올릴 계획이다.
