SEOUL, KOREA – Turkey is likely to adopt Korea’s e-government system. On Tuesday, a Turkish delegation led by Murteza Balci, assistant secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, paid a visit to Government Complex Seoul to have talks with Chan-woo Park, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security of Korea.
Turkey is currently comparing decentralized e-government models with centralize
d e-government models to choose the optimum system for its e-government project. The delegation came to Korea to learn about Korea’s know-how on e-government system building.
If the Turkish government opts for a centralized e-government model, Turkey is likely to cooperate closely with Korea, offering favorable entry conditions to Korean SI, software and online security companies. The National Computing and Information Agency (NCIA), which Turkey has shown a keen interest in, is a model for integrating and managing national information resources, which was introduced in 2005 for the first time in the world.
The NCIA model was exported to Vietnam in 2011 for USD 100 million through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF).

터키, 우리나라 전자정부 모델 도입 추진
터키가 우리나라 전자정부 도입을 추진한다.
우리나라 전자정부에 큰 관심을 보여 온 터키는 26일 오후 3시 무르테자 발즈 총리실 차관보를 수석대표로 한 대표단을 정부서울청사에 보냈다. 대표단은 이날 박찬우 안행부 제1 차관과 환담을 나누면서 우리나라 전자정부에 대해 설명을 들었다.
터키는 자국 전자정부 프로젝트 모델로 부처 분산형 모델과 중앙 집중식 모델을 비교•검토 중이다. 중앙 집중식 모델을 운영하고 있는 우리나라의 경험과 사례를 공유하기 위해 이번에 대표단이 방한한 것이다.
터키 정부에서 중앙집중식 모델을 선정하게 되면 향후 전자정부 구축을 위한 우리나라와의 협력이 기대된다. 국내 SI 및 소프트웨어, 보안 기업들이 터키 진출에 유리한 여건이 조성될 수 있기 때문이다. 터키가 관심을 보이는 `정부통합전산센터`는 우리나라에서 2005년 세계 최초로 도입한 국가 정보자원 통합•운영 모델이다.
지난 2011년 베트남에 대외경제협력기금을 통해 1억달러 규모로 수출됐다. 터키 대표단은 이번 주말까지 국내에 머물면서 한국조폐공사•삼성데이터센터•SK텔레콤 등 관련기관 및 교육부•고용부•법무부•외교부•국방부•보건복지부•관세청 등을 방문한다. 박찬우 안행부 제1 차관은 “형제의 나라 터키에서 한국 전자정부에 관심을 갖고 방한한 것을 환영한다”며 “앞으로 양국이 전자정부뿐 아니라 모든 분야에서 다각도로 협력을 강화할 수 있기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
