Seoul, Korea - Daum Communication and Solite Indigo Racing Team, one of the top automobile racing teams in Korea, signed a sponsorship deal.
On Thursday, Daum announced that it signed a media sponsorship deal with Solite Indigo Racing Team for this year and promote the team’s performances through various forms of contents.
Daum will set up a special website for the Solite Indigo Racing Team to provide the news and images of the Team’s race cars in the Korea Speed Festival in this month and in the Super GT All Star, the super car race held in May for the first time in Korea.
Solite Indigo will place logos of Daum Communication together with other official sponsors on its race machines, driver suits and racing model dresses.
Jongho Lim, the head of Sports Team at Daum commented, “the popularity of motor sports in Korea is growing, as the F1 championship race and a super GT race are held in Korea.”
Solite Indigo Racing Team is one of the most well-known Korean racing team established in 1997. The team will participate in the Super GT All Star, an internationally acclaimed super car race, to take place in Korea International Circuit in Jeonnam Province on May 18th and 19th with the all-Korean racing team and the Korean machine (Genesis Coupe GT).

다음은 올해 `쏠라이트 인디고`와 미디어후원 계약을 맺고 레이싱팀의 활약을 각종 사진, 영상 콘텐츠로 홍보한다고 4일 밝혔다.
우선 쏠라이트 인디고 레이싱팀 특집페이지를 구축해 이달 개막하는 코리아스피드페스티벌(KSF) 대회와 다음달 우리나라에서 첫 개최되는 슈퍼카 레이스 `슈퍼GT올스타`에 출전하는 쏠라이트 인디고의 영상과 사진을 서비스할 예정이다.
쏠라이트 인디고는 레이스 머신, 드라이버 슈트, 레이싱 모델 등에 공식후원사인 다음커뮤니케이션 로고를 달고 활동하게 된다.
임종호 다음 스포츠팀장은 “세계적인 자동차경주대회인 F1과 슈퍼GT가 우리나라에서 열리면서 모터스포츠에 관심이 높아지고 있다”며 “모터스포츠가 우리나라에서 더 대중적 스포츠로 발돋음하길 기대한다”고 말했다.
`쏠라이트 인디고`는 1997년 창단한 우리나라 간판 레이싱팀이다. 국내 모터스포츠 사상 최초로 국산 차량(제네시스쿠페GT)과 국내 선수로 팀을 구성해 5월 18, 19일 전남 영암 국제자동차경주장에서 열리는 세계적 슈퍼카레이스 슈퍼GT올스타에 참가하게 된다.
