Important contribution to lower core component import dependence
By succeeding in localizing 'Grating', the core component of optical pickup devices which was formerly imported from Japan, Havit Information (www.havit.co.kr) has been selected for an award as a Component Material Technology Development Company by a meritorious service. The company greatly contributed to lowering import dependency in the manufacturing of CDROM and DVD-ROM computer hardware.
Since the localization of Grating components, Havit Information has expressed interest in developing IR Cut-off Filters for camera phones, which allows the camera phones image sensor reflexes almost as good as a human eye. This IR Cut-off Filter has struck root as a key sales item alongside of camera phone's explosive demand since 2003.
Havit Information's IR Cut-off Filter is supplying 90% of domestic market and 26% of world market respectively as a world class product recognized by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, Republic of Korea (MOCIE), according to CEO Park Byung-sun, Havit Information Co., Ltd. Together with IR Cut-off Filter's growth, Park introduced that Havit Information has been recognized in terms of both technology power and growth as the company is listed in KOSDAQ for the first time since Daedeok Innopolis was designated.
Though its IR Cutoff Filter supplies exclusively product based on excellent product over four years, the company has been proceeding ceaseless R&D and business diversification to seek new growth engine, which can serve as the second IR Cut-off Filter for the sake of continuous growth and new profit foundation.
Havit Information is concentrating on environmentally friendly products as well since the Restrictions of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) came into effect in July of this year in the European Union and will be applied next March in China.
Accordingly, Havit Information finished the company's patent applications by developing an environmentally friendly plating solution and processing technology in which chrome is not necessary. It is constructing its production line in Sintangin #3 Industrial Complex, Innopolis III area.
