SEOUL, KOREA - Renault Samsung Motors announced that it will start taking reservations for SM3 ZE, the only compact size electric car in Korea, starting from the 15th of this month. The company’s plan is to lead the popularization of electric cars in Korea. At the moment, SM3 ZE is sold at KRW 45 million, but the price may go down to KRW 19 million with regional government subsidy, which is about the price of gasoline cars in the same class. SM3 ZE does not emit any CO2. It can run more than 135 km with one charge (based on the new gas mileage) with a maximum speed of 135km/h, maximum motor power of 70 kW, and maximum torque of 226 Nm. The 22kWh lithium-ion battery installed on the trunk recollects the energy generated when it runs a downhill and thereby recharges the battery. The regenerative braking system ensures the maximum driving distance and economy driving. In addition, it is equipped with a chameleon recharging system, with which slow charging and high speed charging are possible with one coupler. With the slow charging system, the car can be fully charged in 6-9 hours at 220V (A.C. 3kW-7kW capacity). With the high speed charging system, it can be fully charged in 30 minutes (A.C. 43 kW capacity). Renault Samsung Motors is the first Korean car manufacturer who guarantees 75% of battery capacity for 5 years or for the travel distance of up to 100,000 km.
르노삼성차, 전기차 `SM3 Z.E.` 예약판매 실시
르노삼성자동차(대표 프랑수아 프로보)는 올 10월 시판하는 국내 유일 준중형급 전기자동차 `SM3 Z.E.` 사전 예약판매를 15일부터 실시한다고 밝혔다.
르노삼성자동차는 사전 계약을 통해 최근 환경부가 발표한 10대 전기차 선도도시(제주, 서울, 대전, 광주, 창원, 영광, 당진, 포함, 안산, 춘천)를 중심으로 전기차 대중화에 주도적인 역할을 한다는 계획이다.SM3 Z.E. 가격(SE 플러스 기준)은 4500만원이지만, 환경부 보조금 1500만원과 각 지자체 보조금 등을 추가 지원받으면 실제 구매 가격은 크게 낮아진다. 특히 제주특별자치도의 경우, 환경부 보조금 1500만원과 지자체 보조금 800만원이 더해지면 동급 가솔린 차량과 동일한 1900만원대에 SM3 Z.E. 구입이 가능하다. 또 800만원 상당의 완속 충전기를 지원하고, 동급 가솔린 모델 대비 6분의 1 수준으로 유지비도 저렴하다.
SM3 Z.E.는 이산화탄소 배출이 전혀 없는 무공해 전기자동차다. 1회 충전으로 135km 이상(신연비 기준 예정)을 최고속도 135km/h로 주행할 수 있다. 또 최대 모터파워 70kW, 최대 토크는 226Nm를 구현한다. 트렁크에 장착된 22kWh급 리튬-이온 배터리는 감속하거나 내리막길 주행시 발생하는 에너지를 회수, 배터리를 재충전하고 주행거리를 최대로 확보할 수 있는 회생제동 시스템이 가동돼 경제적인 주행이 가능하다. 특히 완속부터 급속충전까지 하나의 커플러로 충전 가능한 카멜레온 충전 시스템을 갖췄다. 완속 충전의 경우, 가정이나 회사 등의 일반 220V를 이용해(교류 3kW~7kW 용량) 최대 6~9시간 이내에 완충이 가능하다. 또 급속 충전 시스템을 이용해(교류 43kW용량) 30분만에 충전할 수 있다. 르노삼성자동차는 국내 최초로 5년 또는 10만km까지 배터리 용량의 75%를 보증한다.
프랑수아 프로보 사장은 “르노삼성자동차는 10월 출시를 앞두고 정부가 선정한 10대 전기차 선도도시에 SM3 Z.E.가 빠르게 전파될 수 있도록 판매 및 서비스 네트워크를 갖추고 해당 지자체와 핫라인을 구축하는 등 전기차 보급에 적극 협조해 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.
