Major RIA makers like Tobesoft, TmaxSoft, and Comsquare plan to present or market innovative products using in the 3rd quarter Web 2.0 technology in order to be prepared with the peak season in the 4th quarter.
With the change in the computing environment, the importance of the user interface has continuously increased. Microsoft, Adobe systems and other global companies are introducing RIA products in order to increase their share in the market. In this situation the domestic companies are also trying to come up with new products to compete against global companies.
Tobesoft, Korea's largest RIA company, completed the development of an RIA solution with a new concept, which had started in the beginning of this year, and will hold a showcase for the new product in October. The company will exhibit its new solution combining RIA and Web 2.0 in and out of the country on a real time basis.
This solution was the result of the company's effort to reflect global demand which they had surveyed for 2 to 3 years by visiting customers around the world. The industry pays attention to the functions and features of this solution.
President Hyung-kon Kim of Tobesoft said: "With this new product, Tobesoft will become an RIA company supporting customers to build an Enterprise 2.0 system. This product is the innovative result of upgrading from the level of the current RIA products."
TmaxSoft, which joined the RIA industry this year, will also present an Ajax based RIA solution, in which the client's UI is processed on the server, at the end of this month or the early next month.
Managing director Lee Kang-man of TmaxSoft said: "This is a browser-based simple process solution. With this new product, TmaxSoft completed its portfolio for the RIA solution."
TmaxSoft has so far suggested 3 products as an integrated RIA solution: the solution for clients, ProWeb, the portal solution ProPortal, and ProFaces, a new product which will be introduced soon.
Comsquare and other RIA companies will also introduce new products in the 3rd or 4th quarter. With these innovative products, Korea's RIA solutions will be upgraded in the 2nd half of this year.
