For people with hearing difficulties caused by eardrum problems, hearing aid has been the only solution to try make your life normal again.

But this kind of amplification of sound in your ear will damage your hearing even further over time.

Having an eye on such point, headset special maker Hanics Technology (www.hanics.com) is poised to raise a sensation by way of the company's still-notannounced 'Bone Conduction Headset'.

In a point of time when it has several months to go to the market at home & abroad, president Kim Sung-ho emphasizes during a special interview with The Korea IT Times, a leading IT-oriented English Journal in Korea: "This item will become a specimen of a real human technology, gaining incidental effects which help an auditory sense impaired person solve their hearing difficulty and can help their happiness pursuit."

He committed himself to enlarging its bone conduction headset's value into world market as a global item, adding that he sincerely hopes that this bone conduction headset would help this society enhance life's quality.

I-Bone's recondite principle

Concerning this bone conduction headset's principle, Kim explained as follows: "We use ears for listening when talking to someone or listening to music. However, this seemingly natural perception is not accurate. Whales living in the ocean have ears inside their bodies where seawater and hydraulic pressures have no effect."

In other words, their ears are structured so as to block direct external sounds, Kim said. In spite of that, whales hear sounds just like other animals. Ludwig van Beethoven became hard of hearing late in life, but the great composer listened to the piano in a way that allowed him to continue writing music, he adds.

Then, how do whales catch sounds And how did Beethoven listen to music

As to such questions, Kim elaborates in detail: "Whales use the lower jawbone to catch vibrations that travel through water and transmit them to their ears. Beethoven held a baton his teeth and pressed it tightly against his piano. He listened by transmitting the piano sound vibrations from his teeth to his hearing organs by way of his skull."

As these examples show, there are two transmission routes for sounds and voices: the air and bones. Vibrations that reach our ears through the air, are known as air-transmitted sound. People normally refer to these vibrations when discussing hearing.

Contrarily, Kim went on to say: "Vibrations that reach our ears through bones are called bone-transmitted sound. Thus, sounds and voices reach our ears as vibrations through the air or through our bones and skin."

Constructed with dynamic type-grade speaker

In conjunction with the technology related to Hanics I-Bone, the president further noted: "Like this, sounds are transmitted to the ear by vibrations in the air but also by vibration of the bones in your skull. This is called bone conduction."

This is just the same method babies in the womb develop hearing, he explains. It is also the same method used by dolphins to hear in the ocean where no air vibration is available.

Hanics I-Bone utilizes the method of Bone Conduction to bypass the eardrum, according to Kim. Since Bone Conduction is also a natural way of hearing, the result is a clear sound without stressing your eardrum with amplified sound.

Kim said this allows anyone that had trouble hearing due to eardrum problems to hear normally once again through IBone. In most cases, I-Bone improves hearing overall, he boasted.

As regarding additional technologies in Hanics I-Bone, I-Bone utilizes all available technology to give you all the benefits and comfort, according to Kim.

With a built-in microphone and a wireless power source powered by Lipolymer batteries, this compact system is very portable.

At home too, you can enjoy your television or stereo anywhere in the room with our rechargeable wireless transmitter, he said. What's more, I-Bone can be used with your telephone or mobile phone that use mini-jacks with a mini-jack adapter.

Perfect for audio enthusiasts looking to upgrade their Headsets, Kim epitomizes that the I-Bone provides you with the convenience of either listening to your music or answering a call on your mobile phone.

Human-engineered technology

To summarize up, the Bone Conduction is a human-engineered technology that enables dynamic hearing without covering ears that may result in impaired hearing with long-term use.

It uses technology that delivers sound directly to auditory nerves through Bone Conduction device while other general headsets delivers sound to the tympanum through aerial conduction, according to the persons concerned at Hanics. These persons concerned who sat together for an interview said: "The I-Bone speakers are constructed with the same dynamic typegrade speaker component as our High-end handmade earphone, producing outstanding audio clarity that allows you to hear your music like never before through your skull around of your head."

Because every head is different, IBone comes with two kind (small for woman, large for man) of different head bands to ensure the ideal personalized fit.

Exhibition marketing strengthening

With regard to Hanics' I-Bone market outlook in the world market, president Kim said proudly: "There are many marketing hopes, adding that he already looked round 22 countries around the globe over two & half years."

Keeping an eye on the fact that advanced countries pay attention to welfare than a backward nation, he said that Hanics started market survey from Europe market including North America market.

Besides, Hanics plans to capture Asia market including Japan, Australia and New Zealand and Middle East market including Saudi, Iran and India.

Plus the company's contracts with eight countries including England, France and so forth, it is said that Hanics already entered into MOU (memorandum of understanding ) state with five countries such as Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Australia etc. for the purpose of I-Bone product's market enlargement, according to Kim.

On top of that, Hanics plans to beef up I-Bone marketing by taking part in prominent oversea exhibitions such as Spain SIMO in November and next year's CES 2008 and Dubai Gtex.
