He also said that the UN has received only $52 million of the $150 million it asked for to support the provision of food and agricultural materials, health and nutrition programs, and water and sanitation improvements.
Earlier on August 6, the Korean government had decided to spend 6.7 billion won ($6.03 million) to support programs for infants and small children in the United Nations Children's Fund. This is the first Korean government-supported international program for North Korea since the inauguration of President Park Geun-hye in February this year.
