On July 5, 2007, Genoa Color Technologies Ltd. filed a patent infringement lawsuit in The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Samsung Electronics America, Inc., Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Mitsubishi Electric US Holdings, Inc., Mitsubishi Electric and Electronics USA, Inc., and Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc. The lawsuit concerns the defendants' infringement of Genoa's United States Patent No. 7,113,152 entitled Device System and Method for Electronic True Color Display. In its complaint, Genoa also asserted that the Samsung defendants breached a non-disclosure agreement.

"Genoa has developed and patented the state-of-the-art ColorPeak Multi-Primary-Color technology for use in TVs, monitors, projectors and other display devices. The company will vigorously protect its intellectual property rights in all its markets," said Ilan Ben-David, CEO of Genoa.
