KT along with KT Capital announced that they would start a KT WiBro laptop rental service through which corporate WiBro customers can use brand new laptops at low cost from July 9.
This service is designed to reduce the burdens of corporations purchasing laptops while promoting the use of WiBro for business purposes. With this marketing strategy, KT will highlight the point that WiBro is the optimal solution for the mobile office.
The latest Toshiba and Kohjinsha laptops equipped with WiBro service will be provided for 2 to 3 years at the total cost of 30,000 to 50,000 won (US$32.55.54.26) per month. KT expects that corporations will be hailing the service since it is up to 40% lower than the average rental charge.
Within this month, 2 different sorts of LG laptops will be added while Samsung's laptops will be also in service in the near future. The service will ultimately be available to private customers.
Myeong Pyo-hyun, director of WiBro Business Unit, said: "There is a growing movement of establishing a corporate mobile office allowing employees to have access to an internal system to handle their work even on business travel. This service can help companies to reduce cost and at the same time improve performance efficiency."
