According to Samsung Electronics on October 28, it will change the name of Living Plaza into “Samsung Electronics Sales Corp.,” effective on November 1, 2013, aimed at strengthening its domestic distribution network. The plan is subject to approval at Samsung Electronics’ general shareholders meeting scheduled to be held on October 31.
Living Plaza is a 100-percent subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, founded in October 1998. Living Plaza has been responsible for domestic distribution and sales of all kinds of electronics goods, including TVs, home electronics, and mobile phones produced by Samsung.
With about 3,000 employees, Living Plaza runs more than 250 Digital Plazas and Samsung Mobile Shops throughout the country.
