SEOUL, KOREA - A social commerce site Ticket Monster announced on December 2 that its annual transaction volume surpassed 1 trillion won as of the third week of last month. The company’s annual transaction amount marked about a 40-percent growth compared to a year ago.
By business segment, the sales of store items accounted for 67 percent of the total, while local coupons and discount offers 19 percent, travel and leisure 12 percent, and culture 2 percent.
The store and travel & leisure business achieved a robust year-on-year growth of about 100 percent, playing a key role in boosting Ticket Monster’s annual transaction amount.
Among store items, in particular, the transactions of childcare items jumped by about 340 percent year on year, while the transactions of water park tickets rose by about 260 percent.
