SEOUL, KOREA - Pantech will show off a brand-new smartphone model, the follow-up model of its Vega Secret Note, on December 5. The company sent letters of invitation to the media on December 3 and announced that it will disclose the Vega Secret Up at its headquarters building in Sangam-dong in Seoul on the 5th.
Although the detailed specs of the Vega Secret Up are not yet available, it is expected to be mounted with a privacy protection function using fingerprint recognition technology, just like its predecessor model, considering that its name contains the word Secret.
Even in the invitation letter Pantech sent out is a silhouette of the backside of the smartphone with a fingerprint recognition sensor.
Pantech suffered losses for five straight quarters until the third quarter of this year. However, expectations are growing for Pantech to see a turnaround in the fourth quarter thanks to the rising popularity of the Vega Secrete Note.
