SEOUL, KOREA - Shinsegae Department Store announced on December 9 that its sales marked a 5 percent year-on-year growth during its winter sale period from November 22 to December 8.
Shinsegae attributed the strong growth to the brisk sales of outdoor clothing items such as fur coats and parka coats. The sales of fur coats marked a robust growth of 8.7 percent, while those of outdoor items and parkas grew by 28.3 percent and 30 percent, respectively.
As the weather gets cold from late November, the sales of fashion apparel items also marked a strong growth. The sales of women’s suits, men’s suits, and children’s wears rose by 5.8 percent, 2.0 percent and 8.1 percent, respectively.
