SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics plans to expand the scope of application for its unique smartphone touch technology Knock toward the entire spectrum of its L Series devices.
Knock is a function that turns on and off smartphone by touching it twice. It was applied first for LG’s strategic smartphone G2 which drew a good response from consumers around the world.
LG Electronics announced on January 15 that it will launch the Knock functional upgrade from next week starting from Latin American countries, including Brazil.
The first model to be applied with the Knock function will be the L Series Optimus L3II that was released last year. The L Series Ii is a 3G smartphone targeting overseas markets that LG Electronics showed off first at the Mobile World Congress 2013.
The L Series consists of a variety of devices, including Optimus L3II, OptimusL4II, Optimus L5II, and Optimus L7II.
