SEOUL, KOREA - WeMade Entertainment revealed its financial results for the full year of 2013 and the fourth quarter of 2013, on February 12.
On a consolidated basis along with the application of K-IFRS, its 2013 sales totaled 227.4 billion won, up 90 percent from a year ago. WeMade Entertainment also returned to profitability last year, posting a sizeable amount of operating and net profits. Its fourth-quarter sales rose 35 percent year on year to 47 billion won.
In particular, its mobile game-related sales stood at 140.8 billion won last year, a dramatic increase of 1,037 percent compared to a year ago. This business accounted for about more than 60 percent in the company’s total sales, positioning itself as a main cash cow.
WeMade Entertainment declared the year 2014 as the first year to go global. It also also plans to secure mid- and long-term growth engines centering on online game areas, while exploring new income sources and achieving strenuous growth in mobile game areas.
