SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics showed off a brand-new 3G smartphone Galaxy Core. The Galaxy Core is a 3G smartphone primed with superior design, usability, and reasonable price. This was the first time for Samsung Electronics to release 3G smartphone in 21 months.
With a special design to enhance the accessibility of the elderly and the handicapped, the Galaxy Core features a 11.8-cm (4.7-inch) display, an Android 4.2 JellyBean operating system, a Qualcomm Krait 1.2-GHz Dual-Core processor, a 1-GB RAM, a 8-GB internal memory, a 5-megapixel camera, and a 2,000-mAh battery.
The Galaxy Core is available in an Easy Mode, making its usage easier particularly for consumers who are new to smartphones. Another eye-catching feature that the Galaxy Core offers is the Optical Scan function that provides a voice guide after scanning the text.
The Galaxy Core has a retail price of 410,300 won, coming in two colors—deep blue and pearl white. The price of Galaxy Core is much lower than those of LTE models.
