SELANGOR, MALAYSIA - In conjunction with its 40th anniversary, Sunway Group, Malaysia's leading property developer, realty group and the largest shopping mall operator in Malaysia, launched a new point-based loyalty programme powered byFusionex , an international software provider specialising in Analytics and Big Data.

The launch of the Sunway Loyalty Programme (Sunway Pals) was held at the Blue Concourse of Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall on Friday, February 28th, and was officiated by YBhg. Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah, AO, Founder & Chairman of Sunway Group.

To commemorate Sunway's 40th anniversary and the launch of Sunway Pals, and in line with the pioneering theme of the Sunway Pals Programme and the system powering it, a number of the Sunway Group's earliest and forefront customers were invited to attend the event. These include the first buyers of properties launched by Sunway Property, the family members of the first infant that was delivered at the Sunway Medical Centre, the first Sunway Lagoon customer who signed up for the theme park's membership card, the first few tenants of Sunway Pyramid, the first guests of Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, as well as two generations of individuals within the same family who studied at Sunway Education institutions.

As a mark of gratitude and appreciation, these selected individuals were presented with a preloaded Sunway Pals loyalty card and those interested were also guided on the steps to download the app which allows users to 'go card-less' where the Sunway Pals Programme is concerned.

Under the Sunway loyalty programme -- called Sunway Pals -- members will earn one point for every dollar spent in participating merchants' stores with additional points available on special offers. Every 100 points accumulated will translate into a dollar which is then redeemable at participating merchants' stores.

The software system powering Sunway Pals Loyalty Programme is a unique innovation among retail loyalty programmes and is designed to suit any merchant and any member. In addition to the many features available, the system not only allows for the conventional card system and EDC terminal support, but also comes with card-less capabilities -- a move that is expected to resonate well with consumers. Members can opt to use a Sunway Pals App downloaded on their smartphone for points awarding and redemption.
