SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics formed a partnership with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization to promote cooperation in social contribution activities in Dubai on March 16.
The two parties signed an agreement concerning the mutual cooperation to promote social contribution activities, at the Dubai JW Marriott Marquis Hotel on the same day.
Under the terms of the agreement, they will explore ways to promote cooperation to make contributions to the international community, as well as to jointly carry out social contribution projects.
The UNESCO is now engaged in social contribution activities centering on five areas, including education, culture, natural sciences, humanities/sociology and information/communications.
Samsung expects to provide meaningful support to promote UNESCO’s projects, among others, the ones that are designed to strengthen the capabilities of teachers by using mobile devices, as well as to improve literacy in developing countries.
