Optical Technology Leaders Take Part in the P&I 2014

SEOUL, KOREA - The world’s major optical technology leaders, including Samsung Electronics and Sony, are taking part in the Photo & Imaging 2014 which was held on April 17 at COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam.

 

Marking the 23rd anniversary this year, the exhibition is Asia’s largest photo cultural event where visitors can enjoy both the latest photo imaging technologies and professional photos.

At the exhibition, Sony Korea showcased the full-frame mirrorless camera A7S, first in Korea, which it disclosed at the National Association of Broadcasters 2014 held in Las Vegas on April 7.

The A7S is the world’s first full-frame mirrorless camera that can make 4K photographing. The camera model also boasts an ISO 409600-level high sensitivity noise processing feature.

Samsung Electronics set up a 540-square-meter booth, the largest among the participating exhibitors. The company plans to display a variety of smart cameras, including a premium mirrorless camera NX30, an ultra-slim mirrorless camera NX Mini, and Galaxy Camera 2.

In particular, the visitors of the booth can experience a variety of smart functions offered by the NX30, including a hybrid auto focus, a high-speed shutter spitting and a photo-sharing using wireless communications.
