SEOUL, KOREA - Merck Serono Division of Merck Korea (Managing Director: Dr. Michael Grund) awarded “Merck Serono Scientific Award(Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine Outstanding Thesis Award)”, jointly with Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine, at the 66th Spring Academic Conference of Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine held on May 31 at Seoul National University Hospital.
Awarded for the second time, this scientific award was given to Professor Seong Hoon Kim (Ulsan University Asan Hospital) and Professor Nam Geun Kim (CHA University Hospital), and each person received \5 million prize.
Aimed at motivating the researchers of reproductive medicine field and widely informing outstanding research performance, Merck Serono Scientific Award was reviewed based on the papers that completed publication in SCI journal during 2013 and the awardees were selected by Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine academic committee. In addition, as a forerunner of infertility treatment, Merck Serono takes part in the award every year to promote the development of infertility treatment field in Korea.
