We would like to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Korea IT Times, a unique English IT journal in Korea, which provides various IT-related news and information to the whole world.
Gangwon Province is making every effort to make the best use of its natural resources such as the DMZ, Baekdu Mountain Range, the East Sea, the source of the Han River, and the proximity of Seoul, the capital. Our traffic system has been greatly improved through our road strategy, which focuses on making all the major roads speedier and wide-ranging, equipping them with high technologies. Also, during the past three years, 35% of all domestic companies that have moved out of the metropolitan area have preferred Gangwon Province, thus proving that it is a favorite area for business in Korea.
As is well known, Gangwon is becoming an iconic place for climate change and green growth. As time goes on, climate change is getting so significant that it has already become a global task for both us and generations to come. For this reason, how to respond to climate change is closely related to national competitiveness. Therefore, to this end, Gangwon Province has made a plan to establish a Climate Change Research Center for the first time in Korea to try to take the lead in this field and conduct in-depth research from an international viewpoint.
We believe all these sweeping changes can also provide us with many opportunities. Once again we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Korea IT Times and look forward to your continued concern and support for the development of Gangwon Province.
