Beijing Hanmi Pharm. Co., Ltd’s diverse charitable activities, such as free first-aid kits and employee volunteer activities were officially commended at the 2nd“Korea’ Most Venerable Company” Award Ceremony, held at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Lim Hae-Ryong, CEO of Beijing Hanmi Pharm. Co., Ltd, has won a Presidential Citation for outstanding CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities.
Beijing Hanmi Pharm said on October 15 that it received a Presidential Citation in the category of global CSR at the 2nd“S. Korea’ Most Venerable Company” Award Ceremony, held on October 14 at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Companies and Individuals from 24 overseas Korean companies that have branched out into as many as 24 nations were selected as the winners of Korea’ Most Venerable Company” Awards, which honor generous givers who contribute to social development through charitable activities.
The 2nd award ceremony was co-hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA) and organized by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
Beijing Hanmi Pharm’s annual charitable work, such as blood donations and the provision of first aid medicine and free medical treatment, gets the credit for the company’s winning of the accolade.
Beijing Hanmi Pharm has introduced to China Hanmi Pharmaceuticals’ Sarang (love) Blood Donation, the longest-running blood donation campaign in the S. Korean pharmaceutical industry. Since 2012, Beijing Hanmi Pharm has provided 30 orphanages and day-care centers, located in Neijing and Hebei, with its specially-designed Sarang emergency medicine cabinets.
In addition, Beijing Hanmi Pharm’s volunteer groups, comprised of employees and their family members, pay a monthly visit to pediatric cerebral palsy centers, schools for children with disabilities, orphanages and Taiyang Cun (a public institution where the children of prisoners are taken care of) so as to deliver supplies and do some volunteer work.
Beijing Hanmi Pharm’s contributions to the betterment of child health and welfare haven’t gone unnoticed in China either. As a matter of fact, Beijing Hanmi Pharm received a special contribution award in 2003 from China Women’s Federation and China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF).
“It is a bounden duty for any pharmaceutical companies to give some of their profits back to the community. “Beijing Hanmi Pharm will continue its charitable work in diverse areas to firmly establish itself as one of the most-loved companies in China,” said CEO Lim Hae-Ryong.
