SEOUL, KOREA - Hyundai Motor’s Avante passed the 10-million mark incumulative global sales.According to Hyundai Motor on October 28, thecumulative sales of the Avante which made its debut in October 1990, reached10,005,032 units as of October 27. In other words, it was sold 420,000 unitsper year and more than 1,100 units per day.
The Avante was sold about 2.6 million units in Korea andabout 7.4 million units overseas (in 177 countries).The sales of thefirst-generation Avante stood at 948,263 units, while those of 2G, 3G, 4G and5G stood at 1,237,599, 2,827,888, 2,520,487, and 2,470,795 units, respectively.
Of the total, about 6.4 million units were produced inKorea, while the remaining 3.6 million were produced in overseas plants in theUnited States, China, and India.
To celebrate the milestone in the history of the Avante,Hyundai Motor plans to hold an “Avante Festival” at KINTEX in Ilsan, southeastof Seoul, on November 8.
