Seoul Korea - Kia Motors’ Soul EV was named as the Car of the Year in Norway.According to Kia Motors, DinSide, a Norwegian consumer group, selected Kia Motors’ Soul electric vehicle as the Car of the Year. Ranking behind Kia Motors’ Soul EV were Audi A3 Hybrid and Volkswagen Passat.
Norway is one of Europe’s leading countries in regards to the adoption of eco-friendly vehicles. Eco-friendly vehicles account for about 20 percent of annual car sales in Norway.In particular, the share of electric vehicles is high in the Norwegian car market.
The Tesla Model S was named as the Car of the Year last year. DinSide said, “After long hours of discussion, we decided to select the Soul EV as the Car of the Year among ten candidates.”
DinSide added that the Soul EV gained high recognition thanks to its long driving distance of 212 kilometers (European mileage standard), splendid designs, and impressive efficiency in space utilization.
