Korea DataBase Agency Opens Korea-China Data Business Day

On May 20-21, ‘Korea-China Data Business Day

Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (Minister Choi Yang-hee) and Korea Database Agency (President Seo Kang-soo) hosted Korea-China Database Business Day on May 20-21 for two days in China (Shanghai Industrial Technology Institute) which has the greatest demand for Data "Hallyu" in a bid to facilitate data technology exchanges between Korea and China.

"Korea-China Data Business Day" was held as part of the「K-Global Project」promoted by Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning to help ICT based Top Venture Companies to grow and make inroads into the overseas markets.

The "Korea-China Data Business Day" featured ▲ Presentations on Advanced Data Technology Trends and Successful Case Studies of Korean Data Technology and Development, ▲ One-on-one business meetings on launching Korean solutions in China, ▲Product demonstration booth and facilitated a program for exploring business opportunities in the Chinese database market. The event was attended by domestic companies, Chinese clients and partners, including, WareValley, Encore, Altibase, Cubrid, WiSe i Tech, Saltlux, Databank Systems and Banet Information and Technology.

 

The domestic data companies in particular, gave presentations to publicize their own technology, ▲ Korea's latest data security solutions and project case studies by Warevalley(CEO Son Sam Su), ▲Rail Safety Big Data Analytics System Case Study by WiSe i Tech(CEO Kim Jong-hyeon),▲ e-Smart Health Service Hospital Case Studies by Databank Systems(CEO Hong Byeong-jin), and ▲Project Achievements and Methodology on Open Source DBMS and CUBRID 9 - the Optimized Representative Web Service by Cubrid (CEO Jeong Byung-joo).

The Product and Service Exhibition was held in the midst of Korea's Top Data Developers and Chinese Data Developers to highlight the newly developed technologies of both nations and facilitate one-on-one business meetings to provide partnership opportunities for diverse businesses in terms of export‧collaboration‧investment.

Seo Kang-soo, President of Korea Database Agency(KoDB) gave his speech during the ceremony by saying “Data will serve as 21st Century's major driving force behind the new business and job opportunities" and emphasized in a statement by saying "This event will serve to facilitate a space for latest technology and business exchanges, forge effective data collaboration and close partnership between two nations with a vision to lead the next generation of data driven applications”.
