The World IT Show 2015, the largest ICT exhibition in Korea, opened its curtain at COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam on May 27. As many as 420 companies from in and outside Korea took part in the exhibition which will run until May 30.
Under the theme of “Connect Everything,” the World IT Show 2015, organized by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, will showcase a variety of industry-leading ICT products and services through 1,400 booths.
Samsung Electronics displays Tizen operating system-mounted smart TVs and Note 4, while LG Electronics showcases LG Ultra OLED TV and G Watch R.
KT runs its own booth under the theme of GiGAtopia which symbolizes the 5G mobile telecommunications service, while SK Telecom made its booth look like a movie set, aimed at enabling visitors to experience next-generation Internet-of-things platform in a more vivid and real-like manner.
A number of overseas companies, including Qualcomm and Haier, and domestic start-ups display a variety of eye-catching VR products, drones and wearable products.
