Seo In-young changed her looks for the new album.
A showcase for the release of Seo In-young’s fifth mini-albumwas held at Yae Hall located in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on June 9.
During the interview, Seo In-young said that she would define her new album’s concept as ‘sad woman’ and said, “I was an iconic figure for a woman who chases ‘the latest trend’ and has ‘strong looks’. This time, I put down myself and want to show weak sides of me as a woman.”
She added, “I showed up on many variety shows and I had the image of being bossy. People enjoyed watching me with that characteristics and more people wanted that image of me. I once was in a deep concern wanting to know which musical genre fits me the best.”
She explained, “In order to show natural side of me, I removed eye make-up and gave up on wearing high heels. I’ll be wearing bright color clothes as well.”
Meanwhile, Seo In-young’s new albumincludes a total of four songs including the title track ‘Lie’ followed by ‘Messed Up’, ‘Not a Film ‘ and ‘on & on’. The title track ‘Lie’ is about saying ‘just leave me’ to a man who lies every time he speaks a word. This retro hip-hop accompanying swing rhythm song has exotic vibes.
