A new era is coming when you could wear new suits virtually by showing them on the mirror and use a window as a TV screen.
Samsung Display announced on June 10 that it showed off a transparent and mirror-type OLED product at the Retail Asia Expo which was held at Hong Kong Convention Center.
The newly-developed OLED product is a 55-inch model, the largest among the transparent and mirror-type OLEDs developed so far. The penetration rate of the transparent display is 45 percent, similar to that of regular glass panes.
During the exhibition, a sales person showed a demonstration of a car on the transparent display and briefed viewers about the key features of the car by applying various options and changing colors.
This cutting-edge display product is expected to be used at China’s jewelry shops, among others, in the near future. By using the OLED product, consumers can check if earrings fit nicely without actually wearing them.
