Many IT related companies around the globe attended Buy Korea 2009 Autumn due to high expectations for advanced Korean information technology. The booths for IT companies were located on the right side of the hall with green tags, and many buyers were eager to have meetings with Korean sellers.

Sony Hungary attended Buy Korea 2009 for the first time. Sony is known as one of the best electronic device manufacturers in the world, making audio and video products, computers, cellphones, video game consoles, and many other electronic devices. The main products that Sony Hungary produces are DVD-RWs, Blue-ray Disc Players (BDPs), and FTV boards/stands for the European market. The company gets 60-70% of their supplies from Asia. However, there are currently no Korean suppliers. Sony Hungary is interested in suppliers for basic electronic components such as capacitors, resistors, transistors, and cables.

"This is the first time to attend the Buy Korea event, and my first impression is really good," the company representative said. "We were able to meet various companies with different products. Our priority for selecting suppliers is quality, price, delivery and flexibility. We have high expectations for the event and we are going to keep participating in future events."

Dream Bank Co. from Japan is another company who is looking for great Korean products. The company specializes in video conferencing software and products.

"Korean information technology has improved a lot in recent years and even surpassed the Japanese in many areas. Because the development cost is too high, we came here to look for many interesting new IT-related products," Gouta Higasikawa, manager of the company, said. "There are no trading conferences of this size in Japan. This is a good chance to meet good companies for our business. We have participated in last year's event and we feel the event is getting bigger and better. I just wish if there is more information for sellers and buyers available on the Buy Korea website, so better matchmaking between companies could be possible."
