On June 17th, Samsung Electronics announced that it had sold over 10,000 units in 3 months after launching their new premium TV product in the domestic market.
Regardless of off-season and decreased demand for TV, Samsung Electronics SUHD TV reached a record of selling over 10,000 units in 3 months. This pace is about twice faster than that of the same class model (9 series) that it released last year.
In light of recent positive trend, Samsung Electronics is expecting to achieve a record of selling 15,000 units in the mid of first-half of this year.
2,000 Curved TVs and 36,000 Curved UHD TVs were sold as of the cumulative over 1 year period since last May, each showing 5 times higher growth than last year's record. The 55 inch TV recorded a drastic increase in the overall TV sales from 13% in the last year to 23%.
The US Consumer Reports gave "Excellent" scores on Samsung Electronics '65 inch SUHD TV (65JS9500) in respect to its high-definition(HD) screen, ultra high-definition (UHD) quality, sound quality, and various functions" and awarded 81 points that was the highest score ever seen on LCD TV review.
