K-pop girl group SISTAR revealed their feelings about joining the battle of K-pop girl groups.

SISTAR held a showcase at COEX ARTIUM located in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in the morning on June 22 to celebrate the release of their third mini-album. It is their first comeback as a whole group after ten months of break.

During the showcase, SISTAR said, “I feel thankful for many people who think of SISTAR when it comes to summer. We promoted new albums regardless of seasons, but we try to release a new album in summer to meet people’s expectations.”

Hyolin revealed, “To say it humorously, I think people began to seek us even more after I got tanned.” She said, “I’ll make sure that summer does become the season of SISTAR by presenting our good features.”

However, it looks like SISTAR is on a tough luck. Many distinguished K-pop girl groups anticipate a comeback including Girl’s Generation, Wonder Girls, A Pink, Girl’s Day, AOA, Mama Moo and Nine Muses.

Regarding this matter, the group explained, “All of us have different musical styles and fans will enjoy listening to a variety of music. So, we think that this season will be the carnival of K-pop girl groups rather than being a battle.”

Soyou stated, “I’ve never thought of someone else as a rival. I just ponder more deeply on making SISTER’s unique characteristics and concepts even more unique to us that none of other groups can imitate.”

Meanwhile, SISTAR’s new track ‘SHAKE IT’ has the group’s signature summer vibe with funky rhythms and melody that makes you bounce. SISTAR’s healthy and sexy image will make great harmony with the heat of summer to bring some freshness.
