Ssangyong Motor held a large-scale launching event for its Tivoli in China. The company announced on June 29 that with the Tivoli it aims to establish a stronger presence in China’s compact SUV market.
The launching event was held on June 26 at the Rose Bud in the Art District of Beijing. About 200 dignitaries attended the ceremony, including local dealers, journalists, and staff at its local agency Pan Da Automobile Trade Co.
Ssangyong Motor also held a “Tivoli” experience event for the local media on June 27. As many as 60 local journalists were given the opportunity to drive a Tivoli for about a distance of 50 kilometers from Hotel Mercure Wanshang Beijing to Qingshui in the west.
Ssangyong Motor launched the model’s shipments first in late March and kick-started full-scale exports from this month. To promote the sales of the Tivoli worldwide, Ssangyong Motor staged large-scale global launching events and test driving events in Ankara, Turkey, Tivoli, Italy, and Brussel, Belgium.
