Missha, a road shop brand of Able C&C, joined hands with DKSH (DiethelmKellerSiberHegner) to make re-entry into the Hong Kong market.
Able C&C announced on July 14 that it signed an agency contract with DKSH Hong Kong to promote the Missha brand there. Under the terms of this deal, DKSH Hong Kong will have an exclusive right to promote Missha products within Hong Kong.
DKSH, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, is a global retail giant doing business in 35 countries.
On June 30, DKSH opened Missha corners at two duty-free shops in Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong.
On July 1, DKSH opened a Missha shop inside the Yuen Long Plaza. By the end of this year, DKSH plans to make Missha products available at 200 Mannings stores within this month and expand the number of Mannings stores where Missha products are available up to 300 by the end of next year.
Missha launched into the Hong Kong market first in 2004 through an agency contract with a local company and operated about 20 stores there. Missha, however, shut down its Hong Kong stores due to the bankruptcy of its Hong Kong agency early this year.
