The per-capita employee salaries of Korea’s top-30 start-up firms averaged at 53.3 million won. Daum Kakao came on top among them with 174.96 million won.
Saramin, an online job portal, revealed on July 14 the result of its analysis of the business reports, including information on average employee salaries, released by 21 out of the top-30 tech start-ups.
Daum Kakao’s average employee salaries are 73.0 million won, higher than those of Samsung Electronics which ranked No. 1 in terms of employee salaries among the nation’s top-30 companies.
Following Daum Kakao were NCsoft with 64.64 million won, Humax with 61.45 million won, Tongyang Cement with 59.0 million won, BHI with 57.0 million won, and Naver with 54.06 million won.
Saramin also disclosed the gap between male and female employee salaries by using the business reports released by 16 companies which revealed separate information on the average pay of their male and female employees.
The average pay of male employees (59.19 million won) is about 1.6 times higher than those of female employees (36.97 million won) at 16 companies.
