SK Telecom announced on July 15 that it has applied for the registration of its lifeware family brand trademark United Object (UO) in China.
In a press conference held in April, SK Telecom declared the innovation of next-generation platforms, including Internet-of-Things platforms.
Thereafter, SK Telecom launched the UO brand and presented a string of new products, including UO Smart Beam Laser, UO Linkage, and UO Smart Beam 2.
The company signed an agreement with Dragon Star, a Chinese retailer for Apple products, to promote the sales of UO Smart Beams in China. Under the terms of the contract, Dragon Star will serve as SK Telecom’s Chinese agent to promote the display and sales of UO Smart Beams within China.
SK Telecom also signed a memorandum with the Chinese Electronic Chamber of Commerce (CECC) to cooperate in promoting the UO brands in China.
An SK Telecom official said, “Our lifeware products started paying off in China, the largest market in Asia. Backed by the performance in China, we will expand the outlets more aggressively toward the rest of the world, including the United States and Europe.”
