The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transportation announced on August 2 that it ordered Daelim Motorcycle to recall 16,000 units of CA110 motorcycles as the light of their braking and rear lamps is too strong enough to impede other drivers' view.
The safety standard for the optical strength of the braking lamp is 40-185 cd. That of CA110 motorcycle, however, is 263.7 cd. The safety standard for those of rear lamp is 4-12 cd, while that of CA110 motorcycle is 45.2 cd.
The motorcycles subject to the recall is 16,751 units produced between October 25, 2013 and September 23, 2014.
Daelim Motorcycle plans to send the notification to the owners of these motorcycles via mail and will replace their braking and rear lamps for free at its service centers throughout the country.
