Ssangyong Motor is enjoying a brisk demand for the Tivoli Diesel which it released last month.
According to Ssangyong Motor on August 4, the Tivoli was sold 4,011 units last month, a volume equivalent to a half of the car maker’s total domestic sales of 8,210 units.
The robust sales of the Tivoli are backed by the strong sales of the Tivoli Diesel which was sold 1,824 units last month. Considering that the Tivoli Diesel started being sold after the launching event held on July 6, last month’s sales of the Tivoli Diesel reflected its high popularity.
The Tivoli also widened its lead over other rival models for which euro 6 diesel models are not yet released. The Tivoli expanded its sales lead over Renault Samsung’s QM3 from 1,449 to 1,671, and the Chevrolet Trax from 2,678 to 3,140 units.
The monthly sales of the Tivoli reached about 8,000 units. For the January-July period of this year, the Tivoli was sold 22,535 units, a volume equivalent to 58.5 percent of its annual target set at 38,500.
