Hyundai Motor’s SUV model Tucson was named as the best compact-sized sports utility vehicle in Germany.
Germany’s prestigious automotive magazines Auto Bild and Auto Zeitung each announced on August 6 that they selected Hyundai Motor’s SUV Tucson as the best SUV among four major SUV models in Germany.
Auto Bild evaluated the performances of four major SUV models including Tucson, Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V, and Ford Kuga in seven categories, including frame, engine, driving performance, connectivity, and eco-friendliness.
The Tucson achieved 557 out of 750 perfect scores, ranking No. 1 among them, followed by the CX-5 with 531, the Ford Kuga with 525, and the Honda CR-V with 521.
The Tucson ranked No. 1 in five out of the seven categories, excluding engine and eco-friendliness.
Auto Zeitung conducted a comparative evaluation of four SUV models—Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan, Mazda CX-5, and Honda CR-V in five categories, including frame, driving comfort, engine, driving dynamics, and environmental and economic value. The Tucson acquired 3,058 out of 5,000 perfect score, dwarfing Tiguan’s 3,039, CR-V’s 2,912, and CX-5’s 2,890.
